Controller/CFO

Job Description
Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.


Tasks
• Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the company and its subsidiaries.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
• Direct and coordinate accounting department and resources; including the oversight of other departments.
• Manage the preparation of financial forecasts.
• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax payments and reporting.
• Establish and implement short and long range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
• Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives.
• Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
• Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or 5-10 years of experience in senior level finance or accounting position.
• CPA and experience with international accounting preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems including MS Great Plains/Dynamics, Quickbooks Pro.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and tax laws.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Extensive knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting.
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams to produce quality work within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
• Work requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule; some weekend work may be necessary.
